Helping Hands of St. Louis

Helping Hands of St. Louis, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo, is located at 443 Sixth St., Toledo, Ohio, serves low-income and homeless families and individuals. The Outreach Center includes a Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry and Clothing Center. Additional services include providing hygiene packs to families and hot showers and hygiene and meal kits to the homeless. Click on the link to learn how you can assemble them as a family, school or church project. We're passing out 10 - 15 a day! That's 250 - 375 a month, so your donations are welcomed!

Volunteer March 9 at St. Meinrad Day of Service at Helping Hands of St. Louis

This week on "Faith Alive!" Annunciation Radio Host Rodney Schuster, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo welcomes Sue Shrewsbery, Helping Hands of St. Louis Director, and Tim Carroll, Toledo St. Meinrad Day of Service Coordinator, promoting the upcoming March 9 Service Day for alumni and friends of St Meinrad. In the second segment Sue shares current need for healthy food donations at at Helping Hands of St. Louis, including fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, 10 lb. tubes of ground beef, pork chops, chicken breasts, fish or deer meat for the Helping Hands Kitchen or 1 lb. packages of ground beef for our pantry guests. Drop off donations between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mondays - Fridays. Frozen pasta bakes are also welcomed for both the kitchen and the Helping Hands Pantry.

Tuesday, March 26 will be our Easter Dinner at Helping Hands of St. Louis. Donated hams, scalloped potatoes, #10 size canned green beans and corn, rolls are needed. Thank you!
