Matt Bell is a 35-year-old Toledo native who graduated from St. Francis de Sales in 2005 and earned an University of Toledo academic/athletic scholarship, where he played baseball.
After an injury, he became addicted to pain killers that were prescribed to him, and one thing led to another, ending in a 9-year bout with heroin. Jails, arrests, and overdoses became Matt's reality, although they were never anything he foresaw or dreamt of doing.
Today, as the Founder of Team Recovery, he uses his past to help the individuals and families who are suffering from the disease of addiction, and to carry an important message of faith to our youth.
