SPEAKER BIO:
The Midwest Provincial assigned Karl Ertle as the new President of St. John's Jesuit High School & Academy in the spring of 2024. A graduate of Cleveland St. Ignatius High School and John Carroll University, he has attended and/or worked at Jesuit schools since 1975 when he met his first Jesuit. He has held numerous roles in Jesuit schools, including theology teacher, service director, football and baseball coach, admissions director, assistant principal, principal, and president.
Prior to being missioned to St. John's, he served as the president of Walsh Jesuit High School in the Cleveland area for 13 years, and as the interim president in Dallas, Texas, for one year.
Karl and his wife of 39 years, Carol, are the proud parents of six adult children, including "Jesuit Joe," and they are the grandparents of three.
CBN MISSION/GOALS:
The Catholic Business Network’s mission is to engage and empower Northwest Ohio business leaders and professionals to promote Catholic values in the workplace. The CBN ministry's key goals are to:
+ Promote spiritual growth and moral courage in the workplace;
+ Advance and serve Christ and His Church teachings through sharing personal experiences, educational materials, and inspiring speakers;
+ Share ways to live the Catholic faith through business practices, relationships with all workplace stakeholders, and community service;
+ Welcome people of all faiths, who seek to learn and advance Catholic morality, values, and ethics;
+ Facilitate opportunities for business and career networking.
