Helping Hands of St. Louis Winter Coat Fest - Saturday, Oct. 19

Sue Shrewsbery, Director of Helping Hands of St. Louis, sorts items for the Winter Coat Fest

TOLEDO— Helping Hands of St. Louis Clothing Center is gearing up now for our Annual Winter Coat Fest on Saturday, Oct. 19.

“Last year we provided nearly 500 winter coats to men, women and children, along with hats, gloves and winter boots,” says Sue Shrewsbery, Director of Helping Hands of St. Louis. “Nearly 150 families were helped!”

Various area churches, school and service groups hold donation drives, collecting warm coats, hats and gloves for men, women and children. Gently used winter boots, especially men's sizes 10 and up, men’s socks, and children’s boots are needed. These items may be dropped off at Helping Hands of St. Louis Clothing Center, 443 Sixth St., Toledo, OH, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays - Fridays.

To arrange for a donation drive, please call Sue Shrewsbery, Director of Helping Hands of St. Louis, at 419.691.0613, ext. 101; or email sshrewsbery@toledodiocese.org. Many volunteers are also needed to help sort donations before the event and assist individuals the day of the event.

Thank you and God Bless!
