Oct. 22 "Make A Difference Day" Food Drive Benefits HOPE Pantry!
MANSFIELD, OH—Catholic Charities HOPE Pantry is once again a beneficiary of the 16th Annual “Make a Difference Day Food Drive” Friday, October 22. People can drop off cash, checks, canned goods and other non-perishable food items, hygiene and cleaning products from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Renaissance Theatre’s rear parking lot. Or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Catholic Charities, 523 Park Avenue East, and Harmony House, 124 W. Third Street. #FeedtheHungry #LivetheGospel #Matthew25 #TagandShare #ThankYou
“We hope people of Richland County will make this the biggest food drive in one day, in an effort to help families make it through to Thanksgiving,” says organizer Doc Stumbo, who said it never ceases to surprise him just how generous people are throughout Richland County. He collaborated with retired Mansfield News Journal Editor Tom Brennan to get Make a Difference Day off the ground 15 years ago.
Last year, over $4,000 was raised and was divided between Catholic Charities HOPE Food Pantry and Harmony House in Mansfield. Many thanks to all the individuals and groups that donate funds, food, and volunteer at the event, as well as the many sponsors who make this community event possible each year! #GodBless #Together #WeAretheChristsHandsandHeartIntheWorld
