Catholic Charities Hosts Post-Abortion Healing Workshop and Mass
April 16, 2013—Catholic Charities will host a workshop by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Project Rachel Team on Wednesday, May 1, from 3 to 5 p.m. at St. Wendelin’s parish hall in Fostoria. A Mass and prayers for healing will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Project Rachel is a confidential counseling program that helps women and men who are suffering emotionally and psychologically after an abortion. The workshop is free and open to mental health and medical professionals, campus ministers, high school guidance counselors and others who may make referrals to the program. Attendees will learn about the nature and structure of Project Rachel and how to make referrals to the ministry. Interested counselors will also receive information about becoming a member of the Project Rachel network. Catholic Charities is seeking to increase the number of Project Rachel counselors for northwest Ohio.
The Mass and prayers for healing is for everyone impacted by abortion and will be followed by brief talks and prayers for healing. For more information or to register for the workshop, please contact Fonda Luersman at email@example.com or 972-916-0652. Learn more about Project Rachel at www.hopeafterabortion.com.
