TOLEDO – FULL-TIME EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to serve as a strategic partner and provide support for the Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and key Committees of Catholic Charities.

Duties include: Represents the office of the Executive Director by welcoming visitors, reviewing correspondence, handling calls, answering internal and external questions or inquiries, and arranging meetings. Attends Board, Committee, and other staff meetings, and takes, distributes, and maintains minutes of the same. Maintains an accurate and detailed calendar for the Executive Director. Must be discreet with confidential information, produce consistently professional work, and be comfortable handling a variety of duties.

Qualifications: Candidate must have high school degree or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree in business-oriented programs preferred); a minimum of five years of office experience in advanced administrative duties; a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as ability to administer Zoom or other virtual meeting formats; the ability to compose grammatically correct correspondence; must maintain a current driver’s license with the ability to travel within the Diocese of Toledo; must successfully pass background check.

TOLEDO – PART-TIME CLOTHING CENTER SPECIALIST

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a part-time Clothing Center Specialist for Helping Hands of St. Louis, our Outreach Center that includes a Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry and Clothing Center in Toledo.

Duties include: Management of clothing center processes, including receipt of donated clothing items, processing and sorting donations, organizing clothing items so they are readily available to guests, and monitoring inventory. Greet and welcome clothing center guests and volunteers. Train and direct the efforts of volunteers to assist in these tasks.

Qualifications: Candidate must have high school degree or GED with one to three years of customer-oriented retail experience preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; must maintain a current driver’s license with the ability to travel within the Diocese of Toledo; must successfully pass background check.

NORWALK – PART-TIME RESIDENTIAL SPECIALIST

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a part-time Residential Specialist for Miriam House, our transitional housing facility for women and their children located in Norwalk, OH.

Duties include: Respond to the needs of our residents, providing customer-friendly service; ensure that our residents follow house policies and procedures, maintain their daily schedules. Maintain solid lines of communication, including operational issues, with the Team & Program Coordinator.

Qualifications: Candidate must have high school degree or GED; be available to work weekends and some holidays; demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to relate and provide direction to a diverse population; must be able to exercise considerable independence and judgment with minimal direction; at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a social services environment is preferred; must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications or be in the process of attaining; must successfully pass background check; must be able to handle confidential information and be willing to carry out the Code of Ethics of Catholic Charities USA ensuring that the dignity, rights, and standard of service is protected for all shelter guests.

TOLEDO – PART-TIME RESIDENTIAL SPECIALIST

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a part-time Residential Specialist for La Posada, our 24-hour Emergency Family Shelter in Toledo.

Duties include: preparing meals for residents, assisting the program coordinator, maintaining daily staff logs, providing assistance and direction to residents, and ensuring all rooms are ready for occupancy.

Qualifications: Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate and provide direction to a diverse population. Candidate must have a high school degree or equivalent and successfully pass BCI/FBI background check.
