MANSFIELD– PART-TIME CRISIS NAVIGATOR FOR HOPE PANTRY

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo (Mansfield) is seeking a part-time Crisis Navigator for the HOPE Pantry in the Mansfield Regional Office.

Duties include: This position provides Crisis Navigation services to individuals visiting the HOPE Food Pantry in Mansfield. The Crisis Navigator responds to inquiries for assistance and conducts individual assessments. This person provides assistance to help navigate the other services and resources available, both through Catholic Charities and other agencies. The Crisis Navigator works with the individual to develop action plans to address their situation, provide linkage to services, and conduct follow up with the individual.

Qualifications: Knowledge of area resources is crucial for this position. Microsoft Word, ability to maintain data and statistics as required by funding agencies and Catholic Charities. Previous knowledge or experience working in a social service setting or other related field is required. The candidate must also be able to work with diverse groups of people, have knowledge of community resources, have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.

TOLEDO – FULL-TIME FOOD SERVICE SPECIALIST

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a full-time Food Service Specialist for Helping Hands of St. Louis, our Outreach Center that includes a Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry and Clothing Center.

Duties include: Management of the kitchen operations for daily meal service; monitoring the food service areas to ensure guest safety; supervision of receipt of food donations; planning and preparation of daily meals based on food donations received and supplemented by purchased food.

Qualifications: Candidate must have high school degree or GED; ServSafe food and beverage safety certification preferred; must have a high level of attention to quality, detail, accuracy and customer service, along with the ability to work with diverse groups of people; must successfully pass background check.

TOLEDO – FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker for Helping Hands of St. Louis (HHSL), our Outreach Center that includes a Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry and Clothing Center and La Posada, our 24-hour emergency family shelter in Toledo.

Duties include: Maintain the buildings at HHSL and La Posada, ensure that all facilities and grounds are safe, clean and orderly, perform minor repairs and assist with major maintenance and remodeling projects.

Qualifications: Candidate must have high school degree or GED with two years of facilities and equipment repairs and maintenance experience; a working knowledge of safe methods used in general repairs and maintenance; the ability to safely operate small power equipment and tools; have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications; must successfully pass background check.

NORWALK – PART-TIME RESIDENTIAL SPECIALIST

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking a part-time Residential Specialist for Miriam House, our transitional housing facility for women and their children located in Norwalk, OH.

Duties include: Respond to the needs of our residents, providing customer-friendly service; ensure that our residents follow house policies and procedures, maintain their daily schedules. Maintain solid lines of communication, including operational issues, with the Team & Program Coordinator.

Qualifications: Candidate must have high school degree or GED; be available to work weekends and some holidays; demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to relate and provide direction to a diverse population; must be able to exercise considerable independence and judgment with minimal direction; at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a social services environment is preferred; must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications or be in the process of attaining; must successfully pass background check; must be able to handle confidential information and be willing to carry out the Code of Ethics of Catholic Charities USA ensuring that the dignity, rights, and standard of service is protected for all shelter guests.

Duties include: preparing meals for residents, assisting the program coordinator, maintaining daily staff logs, providing assistance and direction to residents, and ensuring all rooms are ready for occupancy.

Qualifications: Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate and provide direction to a diverse population. Candidate must have a high school degree or equivalent and successfully pass BCI/FBI background check.
