Attend our 40 Days for Life Opening Prayer Vigil at 6 p.m., with Rev. Herb Weber of Saint John XXIII Parish in Perrysburg, OH, and the Northwest Ohio pro-life community at Capital Care Network. Join us as we pray and seek God’s grace that the children scheduled to be aborted might be spared and given the gift of life!

Since the International 40 Days for Life Campaign began in 2007, over 1 million volunteers in over 61 nations have stood in prayerful witness at abortion clinics to witness to the dignity of human life. Through these prayerful campaigns, over 16,000 lives have been saved, 190 abortion workers have quit their positions, and 104 abortion facilities have shut down!

Prayer Vigil

Come be a peaceful witness to the dignity of every human life, born and unborn, by standing for one hour to pray for the sanctity of human life and to offer hope to women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.

May our prayer bring the light of Christ Jesus to move the hearts and minds of all present to a deeper appreciation of the dignity of human life.

Proclaiming the dignity of human life has been Cristina’s lifelong passion. Growing up, she participated in prayer vigils, life chains and pro-life marches with her family. While attending The Pennsylvania State University, she served as president of Penn State Students for Life. Upon graduation, Cristina attended the Emmanuel School of Mission in Rome, Italy sponsored by the Pontifical Council of the Laity.

In fall 2007, Cristina joined Generation Life’s full-time staff, serving as Parish Outreach Coordinator, College Outreach Coordinator, and Program Director before being named Director in 2009. During her five-year tenure, she developed and launched the Missionary Program, revolutionizing the outreach efforts of Generation Life. An expanded staff reached over 10 dioceses worldwide, impacting tens of thousands of young people each year with the messages of life and love. Cristina received Honorable Mention by Our Sunday Visitor as one of the Inspiring Catholics of 2012.

In July of 2014, Cristina and several of her colleagues founded the Culture Project International, with a vision to restore culture through the experience of virtue. The Culture Project has provided a formative mission program to 40 missionaries, who have served 41 dioceses and empowered nearly 100,000 students to restore culture by reclaiming sexual integrity and the meaning of life, inviting our culture to be fully alive.

This Catholic Charities ministry invites people of all faiths to explore ways of living and promoting Catholic values in the workplace. The Catholic Business Network’s mission is to engage and empower Northwest Ohio business leaders and professionals to promote Catholic values in the workplace.
