OREGON, OH—The Oregon Meijer’s Simply Give program is once again supporting Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo’s Helping Hands of St. Louis ministry through Saturday, September 15, 2018.
When you purchase $10 Simply Give donation cards at the Oregon Meijer, located at 1725 S. Wheeling Street, Oregon, OH, you enable Helping Hands of St. Louis to provide for thousands of hungry men, women and children!
“Please help us fulfill our mission of helping feed the hungry people who come to us for a meal by purchasing a food donation card during your next shopping trip to the Oregon Mejier,” says Sue Shrewsbery, Director of Helping Hands of St. Louis. “Tell your family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers, because every dollar makes a difference!” Your generous donations are converted into gift cards used to purchase food items for our pantry and hot-meal programs.
In addition to in-store donations, Meijer, for the seventh consecutive year, will donate $1 million to the 2018 Simply Give program, which will be dispersed to over 240 food pantries in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
MANY THANKS for your continued support Meijer and all of you who support this invaluable program!
TOLEDO, OH—On Saturday, September 15, beginning at 11 a.m., join Rev. Tim Ferris, of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Genoa, OH, and the pro-life community of Northwest Ohio for a prayer vigil at Toledo’s last remaining abortion facility.
The hour-long prayer vigil will be on the sidewalk of Capital Care Network, 1160 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH. Come be a peaceful witness to the dignity of every human life, born and unborn, by standing for one hour to pray for the sanctity of human life and to offer hope to women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.
Please join us as we pray and seek God’s grace that one of the 15 children scheduled to be aborted that week might be spared and given the gift of life! May our prayer bring the light of Christ Jesus to move the hearts and minds of all present to a deeper appreciation of the dignity of human life.
