TOLEDO, OH—On Thursday, July 19, beginning at 6 p.m., join Rev. Krzysztof Kardzis, from Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Fremont, OH, and the pro-life community of Northwest Ohio for a prayer vigil at Toledo’s last remaining abortion facility.
The hour-long prayer vigil will be on the sidewalk of Capital Care Network, 1160 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH. Come be a peaceful witness to the dignity of every human life, born and unborn, by standing for one hour to pray for the sanctity of human life and to offer hope to women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.
Please join us as we pray and seek God’s grace that one of the 15 children scheduled to be aborted that week might be spared and given the gift of life! May our prayer bring the light of Christ Jesus to move the hearts and minds of all present to a deeper appreciation of the dignity of human life.

TOLEDO, OH—To show support for life, people of all faiths are invited to join our Prayer Vigil for Life led by Bishop Daniel E. Thomas, on Saturday, May 19, at 11 a.m., at ProMedica’s Headquarters at 100 Madison Avenue, in Toledo, OH.
Please arrive by 10:45 a.m. Parking is available at nearby parking garages.
“The Catholic community throughout the Diocese of Toledo is heartbroken,” Bishop Daniel E. Thomas said. “ProMedica’s decision to authorize the patient-transfer agreement with Capital Care Network, the only remaining abortion clinic in the metro Toledo area, endorses the taking of innocent human life.
“We believe the aim of all health care providers should be to promote the healing and protection of all human life, not to facilitate the destruction of the most vulnerable in our community,” Bishop Thomas said. “We lament this tragic decision. We exhort all people of good will to join in recognizing and protecting the dignity and sanctity of each human person.”
Over 10,000 signatures garnered in support of this “Stand for Life” will be presented to ProMedica’s Board of Directors this Saturday, May 19, asking them to reconsider this transfer agreement. You may sign the petition at www.petition.life.
“It doesn’t make sense that a hospital in the business of saving lives, partners with a facility which soul aim is to end human life, the life of the unborn child,” says Peter Range, Director of Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo Office for Life and Justice.
“Our witness and practice of prayer is needed now more than ever,” says Rodney Schuster, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo. “I invite you to join many other prayer warriors during our May 19 Prayer Vigil For Life at ProMedica’s Headquarters.”
