Catholic Charities oversees the diocesan efforts to provide jail and prison ministry in various settings.  Jail and Prison Ministry provides ongoing activities/events that raise the level of awareness by offering opportunities to become involved and offers annual gatherings to affirm and inform current volunteers.
In more recent years a growing awareness has developed regarding the needs of victims and their families, families of the incarcerated, re-entry, death penalty and advocacy issues.

The Annual Jail and Prison Ministry Workshop will be held in Findlay.  The workshop is designed for Jail and Prison Ministry volunteers, those interested in knowing another dimension of the ministry in the Diocese of Toledo, and family members of the imprisoned.
